About Run The Wilderness

Human powered wilderness adventures don’t seem to happen often enough in our modern world.  The mission behind Run the Wilderness is to promote wilderness adventures for intermediate to expert level outdoor enthusiasts and athletes, and to foster an attainable lifestyle of regular wilderness adventure.

Run the Wilderness demonstrates a wide range of adventures, ranging from two hour adventure runs to 14+ day wilderness expeditions.  Human powered mediums will include fastpacking, trail or ultra-running, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and wilderness yoga.

If we are all just a sum of our experiences, then every moment spent in wild places, every lesson acquired, and every natural movement accumulates into a wilderness lifestyle.

Run the Wilderness may be useful for novices and experts alike, but please note that individual adventures are rated on a scale of difficulty or technicality consistent with the real-life experiences of veteran, intermediate-level endurance or ultra athletes.  If you are a novice or expert level endurance athlete, please adjust expectations accordingly.
